The Siena Heights Annual Fund provides the University each year with much-needed resources for student scholarships and financial aid, campus-wide technology upgrades and facility maintenance. In short, the Annual Fund ensures the livelihood of the university. By contributing to the Fund, you are giving Siena your vote of confidence as we continue our mission of assisting people to become more competent, purposeful, and ethical through a teaching and learning environment which respects the dignity of all.

Your gift may be restricted or unrestricted. Unrestricted donations allow Siena Heights University to allocate resources where they are needed most. The areas of need may change from year to year, but by giving an unrestricted gift you are helping the greatest number of Siena students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

However, in some cases there might be an area that is of special importance to you. Gifts can be restricted to support a specific purpose such as student scholarships, athletics, the Kente stole program, academic departments or many others. Here are some specific examples of these opportunities:

The Backstage Society is a way to sponsor and support the Performing Arts at Siena Heights University. As a Backstage Society member, you will have your name listed as a proud patron in our playbill. Your gift will play an important role in the following ways:

  • Investing in our students, and the future of theater, through course enrichment and travel
  • Aiding our faculty as they mentor and guide
  • Transforming our beloved theater so it continues to meet the needs of our students and community

Since 1919, the performing arts at Siena has played a role in developing some of the finest talent in local, national and international theater.

The Champions Club is an opportunity for former athletes, parents and friends of SHU athletics to support the Saints! Your gift will help the Athletic Department provide our current student-athletes and coaches with the best intercollegiate athletic experience possible. Meet ongoing needs such as:

  • Uniforms
  • Equipment
  • Media guides
  • Facility maintenance and upgrades

Studio Angelico Society supporters share in the development of the Visual Art program at Siena Heights University. Society members will have their names listed as proud patrons and support the program founded in 1935 by Sister Helene O’Connor, OP, in the following ways:

  • Ensuring the future of the Klemm Gallery
  • Supporting course enrichment, including foreign travel programs
  • Providing resources for innovative program development
  • Furthering the visual art culture in the local community and beyond

All gifts are tax-deductible and, as an added convenience, you can make a pledge and spread payments out over the course of the year. Also, many companies have matching gift programs for their employees so that your (or your spouse’s) gift can be doubled or even tripled. The key is participation! No matter how large or small, your gift to the Annual Fund can make a difference!
