Theatre Siena is set to present ‘Chicago’ throughout the course of Homecoming Weekend, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

The musical will take place at Haller Stage in the Siena Heights University Performing Arts Center. On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the show begins at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 2, the show will start at 2:30 p.m.

‘Chicago’ is a musical set amid the roaring twenties of Chicago and centralizes on two sensationalized “Merry Murderesses” as they compete for fame, fortune, and acquittal from behind bars. It is notably sharp and satirical, and evaluates the harsh ironies that can exist while pursuing the idea of “The American Dream.”

The production will be directed by Professor Mark DiPietro. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for Siena students and seniors. Tickets can be bought one half-hour prior to showtime, or online at www.sienaheights.edu/academics/theatre-siena/.
