Student Affairs

When you become a student at Siena Heights University, we want you to develop who you are in mind, body, and spirit so that you can reach your potential and embrace your God-given purpose! Our student development model helps you connect our mission (to become more competent, purposeful, and ethical in a teaching and learning environment which respects the dignity of all) by growing in areas of creativity, intellect, leadership, citizenship, and identity.

Get connected with Campus Ministry through weekly offerings to connect with God and our community. Join Student Government to be part of the collective voice of our student body, SPARC—our late-night programming group, or one of over 30 active student clubs and organizations. The Office of Student Engagement supports all of these groups while hosting an array of weekly programs. Show your school spirit by joining Saints Nation at any and all of our Athletic events, check out our showstopper Theatre Siena plays, and get connected with our growing downtown campus community. Free resources available to every student, like our Counseling Center and the Student Health Clinic, are available when you need them. Public Safety is here 24/7 to help foster your safe, healthy campus experience.

Residence Life

Whether you live on campus or not, we want Siena Heights to feel like home! Our Residence Life department is equipped with some of the best student leaders serving as Resident Assistants to live and lead alongside you. Check out our Residence Life brochure

Of note, Siena Heights University has a three-year residency requirement for all full-time undergraduate students. Students have many living arrangements and meal plan options to consider. Commuters can also purchase a meal plan. If you want to live off campus, you may qualify for one of our housing exemption categories. Transfer students with 45 credit hours or more, for example, can live off campus. Other housing exemptions be found here

All new and transfer students are housed in order of the date they submit their Housing Deposit and Application.  Our residence halls and apartments are used to being full so it’s best to submit these items as soon as possible for the best chance to get your preferred housing. Housing assignments for new students begins around May 1 after current students have chosen their housing for the following year. Students may live in Campus Village, our on-campus apartments, once they become a third-year student. The apartments fill up quickly. If you’re eligible to live there, but don’t get housing, we’ll add you to our waitlist in order of earned credit hour that we actively manage when spaces become available. More information on Residence Life is available on our website
