1Siena Heights University will host one Commencement ceremony on May 6, 2023, on the Adrian Campus. This singular ceremony will serve as an official celebration for students on the residential Adrian campus as well as students with SHU Global, consisting of degree completion centers in Battle Creek, Benton Harbor, Dearborn, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Monroe, and Online. Over 300 students are expected to participate in the ceremony this year.

The combined graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Siena Heights University Fieldhouse. The doors open at 1:00 p.m. for guest seating. Tickets are required.
Other Commencement highlights include:
- Lavender Ceremony: a celebration ceremony of the LGBTQIA+ community graduates at Siena Heights University will take place on April 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Benincasa Dining Hall.
- Honors Convocation: annual ceremony to honor academic achievements during the 2022-2023 academic year on April 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Spencer Performing Arts Center.
- Torch Night: this legacy tradition will take place at the Centennial Plaza in front of Sacred Heart Hall on April 28 at 6:00 p.m. This candle and rose ceremony is a symbolic exchange between a senior graduate and underclassmen who carries on the legacy of the graduating senior.
- Nursing Pinning Ceremony: The Pinning is a ceremonial tradition in the profession of nursing in which graduates are formally welcomed into their newly achieved professional ranks. The ceremony is set for Thursday, May 4 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Dominic’s Chapel.
- Kente Ceremony: On the day of graduation, May 6, the Kente Ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. in St. Dominic’s Chapel. The Kente Ceremony consists of African American alumni presenting Kente stoles to degree candidates of color.
- Baccalaureate Mass: People of all faiths are welcome to this Catholic mass on Saturday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Dominic’s Chapel
