Siena Heights University invites students, faculty, and community members to sharpen their professional presence at a series of training sessions on body language. Led by Siena alumnus Bill Acheson ’80, this dynamic seminar explores the unspoken elements of communication that can make or break first impressions. Attendees will discover why, in a handshake, the most accurate indicator of attitude and intent isn’t the hand being shaken—but the non-shaking hand!
Through six interactive sessions, Bill draws on decades of teaching experience at the University of Pittsburgh and consulting globally to help participants master body language and professional presence. BLT will equip attendees to:
- Project confidence and professionalism in any setting
- Accurately interpret nonverbal cues from others
- Enhance presentation and public speaking skills
- Read first impressions and shape interactions for success

“Whether you join for a single session or the full series, BLT will transform the way you communicate,” said Acheson. “You’ll no longer be limited to what people say—you’ll understand what they’re truly trying to tell you.”
Registration and Attendance: All sessions are free and open to students, faculty, and community members. Attendees may participate in individual sessions or the complete series.
