“Get involved. SHU may be a smaller institution, however, the university doesn’t lack opportunity. Between the numerous clubs/organizations, athletic teams and theatre/art, there are opportunities for all students to get involved at Siena.”

Learn what the Siena Effect can do for you.

Siena Heights University’s pre-law curriculum consists of a core sequence of courses considered by the university to be most appropriate for students planning to enter law school. Students must complete an academic major and although any major is possible, the following are particularly recommended: Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, English, History, Law & Politics, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, and Social Science. Siena Heights recognizes that there is no one correct pre-law preparation. The curriculum presented will prepare students with the skills necessary for law school: reading, writing, reasoning, critical thinking, verbal communication, problem-solving, and breadth of experience and knowledge.

Siena Heights has an articulation agreement with the University of Detroit Mercy Law School providing up to five seats per year to SHU graduates with a 3.2 cumulative GPA and a LSAT score in the top 50th percentile.

Siena Heights also has is a 3+3 program with Toledo University School of Law. This program allows you to get a BA from Siena and a JD from Toledo Law with three years at Siena and three years at Toledo.

Because of its small size and quality faculty, Siena Heights offers a closer supervision and mentoring relationship to fully prepare you for your future. Siena students who have attended law school through the pre-law program have graduated with a law degree and have moved on to exceptionally good jobs in the legal field.
