Aldo Zid

Coach Aldo Zid enters his 20th year of coaching at the collegiate level and his 14th season at Siena Heights University. He is a 1989 graduate of Saint Anselm College (Manchester, NH) with a degree in Political Science and four seasons of varsity soccer. He was a midfielder and forward for the Saint Anselm College Hawks.
Zid began his collegiate coaching career in 1989 immediately after graduation as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Saint Anselm. In 1991, he was appointed the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Assistant Men’s Ice Hockey Coach at his alma mater. Coach Zid came to Siena Heights University in 1995 as coach of the men’s and women’s soccer teams. He coached the Women’s team from 1995-2000 and has coached the Men’s team since 1995. He is also the Dawson Fitness Center Director. He is in the process of being certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Coach Zid brings a wealth of experience coaching collegiate men and women. From 1991-1994, he led the Saint Anselm College Women’s Soccer team to regional and national rankings while winning two Northeast-10 Conference titles. In 1991, he was awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Region Coach of the Year and was one of five finalists for the NSCAA National Coach of the Year. As the Women’s Soccer Coach at Siena Heights University, his teams earned four Wolverine-Hoosier Conference (WHAC) Championships and regional berths each of those seasons. In 1997 he was awarded the WHAC Coach of the Year. In his first twelve seasons as the Men’s Coach, his teams haven’t finished below third place in the WHAC while ending up in second five times. Coach Zid’s overall combined men’s and women’s career record is 262-165-33 (.605). His women’s soccer record is 127-59-16 (86-13-6, Conference) and a men’s soccer record is 135-106-19 (88-51-10, Conference).
