Faculty

The information in the following tables is provided to help faculty manage the Blackboard Course Management System.  The information is broken down into categories based on the areas under the Control Panel.  The Control Panel is available to faculty who are Instructors in a course.  It is accessible when an Instructor clicks on the link for a course under My Siena that he/she is teaching.

Assessment

The assessment area is where tests and surveys are created and revised.  It is also the area where you can find tools for keeping track of grades and accessing statistics about the course.

Handling Multimedia

The term multimedia refers to any type of media which is not a section of text—namely still graphic images, animation, moving images in the form of video, and audio sound files. Blackboard 6 easily handles all of these types of multimedia.  Multimedia can be inserted into the Text Box Editor by using the links that are available on the Text Box Editor toolbar.
