Stafford Loan Application Process

You can complete the required Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN) ONLINE by following these simple steps.

Go to the Stafford Loan website.
On the Stafford Loan website, you will be asked to register to use the site using your social security number as the starting point. Once you have set up your account, please follow the instructions outlined by the website. NOTE: Your password is one you choose in order to return to the site.
Complete the Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling.
You will be taken through a tutorial and a brief test to show you have completed the tutorial and understand your rights and responsibilities as the holder of the loan.
Complete the Online Master Promissory Note.
After completing the tutorial/test, you will complete the ‘Promissory Note’. For this area, you will need to have 2 references with complete addresses and phone #'s.
NOTE: Upon completion of the loan application, a signature is required for completion of the process. You can complete the loan with an electronic signature.

Complete the 2007-2008 Federal Stafford Loan Request Form (28k) .
Continuing students who have taken in the prior academic year a Federal Stafford Loan MUST complete and submit this form to the Financial Aid Office. Please keep in mind the DEADLINES for submission of this form.
If you qualify for a student refund, activate your HigherOne Easy Refund card online.

Keep a copy for your records. Exit the website as instructed.
