Area high school band members are invited to play with the Siena Heights University Marching Band for its inaugural Band Day Oct. 13.

The Band Day coincides with the Saints’ home football game against St. Xavier (Ill.) and is open to not only band members, but also to high school color guard members and twirlers. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and includes a rehearsal, field practice, dinner and performance during the 6 p.m. football game at the new O’Laughlin Stadium. Music to be performed will be from Carly Rae Jepson, LMFAO and Katy Perry.

“We hope to have students from many different students attend,” said SHU Director of Bands Wes King. “It’s a great opportunity to perform at a college venue, and scholarships are also available for every member of the Saints Band.”

The registration fee of $15 also includes a T-shirt. Deadline for registering is Oct. 10.

Here is the schedule of the day:
11 AM: Registration
1 PM: Greeting and welcome
1:30 PM: Music rehearsal
3 PM: Field practice
4 PM: Dinner
5 PM: Warm up and tune
5:15 PM: Line up for parade into stadium
5:30 PM: Arrive to stadium for pre-game
6 PM: Kickoff
