Theatre Siena at Siena Heights University will present the musical “Little Women” from April 12-14 in Francoeur Theater on the Adrian campus.
Based on Louisa May Alcott’s own family experiences (and 1869 novel), “Little Women” follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. Now this wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating, new musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart.
Curtain times are at 8 p.m. April 12-13 with a 2 p.m. April 14 matinee. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for seniors and students.
There are also a limited number of tickets available for an April 13 “Dinner and the Theater” event. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., enjoy live music and a wine and cheese reception, followed by dinner with Director Dr. Kerry Graves and selected members of the cast. Over coffee and dessert, explore the connection between truth and fiction with Alexander Weinstein, professor of creative writing at Siena Heights. Tickets are $32 per person.
