Why did you choose the Siena Heights University at Monroe Community College?

"The quality of instruction and student services available from SHU at Monroe Community College are excellent. The staff is both friendly and helpful. They help to direct their students to become the best that they can be.

Having an education is important to many. They see it as a way to achieve a higher position in their field. However, I found myself needing more than just to achieve a higher-paying job. I wanted to build my self-esteem, have the ability to achieve a better job in the future, and show my children that having an education can help one to become more successful in life. By returning to school and finishing my bachelor's degree, I know that I am able to achieve this goal. At Siena I am able to continue my education at a level that does not take away from family and I am working towards a better future."

What are your future goals?

"I have many goals after I attain my bachelor's degree. The most important one being to set an example for my children. Secondly, I want to provide a more secure future for my family."
