10/27/2009-Theatre Siena Presents "Buried Child" Nov. 5-7

Theatre Siena at Siena Heights University presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Buried Child.” The show runs from Nov. 5-7 in Francoeur Theater on the SHU campus. Curtain times are at 8 p.m. each evening.

This powerful and brilliant Sam Shepard drama is directed by SHU Professor of Theatre Doug Miller. It probes deep into the disintegration of the American Dream. The setting is a squalid farm home occupied by a family filled with suppressed violence and an unease born of deep-seated unhappiness. “Buried Child” was the winner of the 1979 Pulitzer Prize.

Tickets are $8 for general admission, $6 for students and members of the Siena community.
