The Matthew Tuttle Memorial Scholarship

The memory of a Chelsea, Mich., firefighter and SHU graduate Matthew Tuttle (’06) will be matt-tuttle.jpghonored with the establishment of a memorial scholarship at SHU. Tuttle, a captain in the Chelsea Fire Department who died in a helicopter accident in April 2006 while searching for a fugitive, was Siena’s first graduate of the distance learning program in public safety studies. Further details about the scholarship will be available in coming weeks, including information on how to make a gift to the fund. The Matthew J. Tuttle Memorial Scholarship will assist students at SHU’s degree completion centers who are pursuing careers in public safety.
