First Year Experience (FYE)

Learn more about First Year Experience (FYE) at Siena Heights University

The purpose of LAS100 (First Year Experience) is to assist new students in making a successful transition to Siena Heights University both personally and academically. This course aims to foster a sense of belonging, promote engagement in the curricular and co-curricular life of the University, encourage self-responsibility, articulate to students the benefits of a Liberal Arts higher education and the expectations and values of the University while introducing the mission of the University. The course also seeks to help students develop and apply essential study skills, enhance critical thinking and communication skills, and explore interests, abilities and values with respect to a major and career.
