Common Dialogue Day 2009

NAIA’s Rob Miller Featured Speaker for This Year’s All-Day Event on Oct. 8

Rob Miller, the director of the NAIA’s Champions of Character program, will be the featured speaker for the annual Common Dialogue Day event Oct. 8 on the Adrian campus.

Miller, a Michigan native who was the former commissioner of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and coached at Spring Arbor University, is scheduled to speak from 1-2:15 p.m. in Lumen Ecclesiae Chapel. This year the theme of the day is “The Character of Champions.”

There are numerous “breakout sessions” occurring around campus during the day, with Mass at 2:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Chapel in honor of Mother Camilla Madden, OP, the institution’s first president.

Common Dialogue Day is a Siena Heights tradition allowing for a day of discussion, debate and reflection. There are no classes during this day, and students are encouraged to participate with faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community members to discuss different topics.

Common Dialogue Day is free and open to the public.
