The Creative Stages 2016 Winter Program is scheduled from Feb. 15-April 28 on the Adrian campus.
Children in grades 1-12 are invited to participate. Unique to Lenawee County, this program helps enhance a child’s imagination, creativity and personal development. Creative Stages teachers include professional teaching artists as well as Siena Heights University students.
NOTE: Children must have paid registrations for fall 2015 and winter 2016 session in order to participate in the full production scheduled for February 2016.
Here are the classes available (from 4:15-5:15 p.m. each day):
Creative Dramatics: Grades 1-3; Mondays
Students will participate in fun-filled story drama experiences designed to enhance self awareness, physical awareness, verbal expression, creativity and imaginative play.
Advanced Creative Dramatics: Grades 4-6; Tuesdays
Students will develop adventures through improvisation, creative dramatics, story drama, pantomime, and theatre games. Emphasis is on improvisation, verbal expression, role playing, character development, and movement.
Young Actors Workshop: Grades 7-12; Thursdays
Students will explore advanced theatre skills through a variety of activities including improvisation, advanced character development, movement for the stage and scene work.
Cost is $85 per child, $150 for two or $195 for three or more siblings.
Participants must be paid for at the time of registration in order to reserve a place in the class.
