Children in grades 1-12 are invited to participate in Siena Heights University's Creative Stages program. This winter's program runs from Feb. 10-April 24, 2014 on the Adrian campus.
Unique to Lenawee County, this child drama program helps enhance your child’s imagination, creativity, and personal development. Creative Stages teachers include professional teaching artists as well as Siena Heights University students.
Here are the classes available:
Grades 1-3: MONDAYS 4:15-5:15 p.m.
Students will participate in fun-filled story drama experiences designed to enhance self-awareness, physical awareness, verbal expression, creativity and imaginative play.
ADVANCED CREATIVE DRAMATICS
Grades 4-6: TUESDAYS 4:15-5:15 p.m.
Students will develop adventures through improvisation, creative dramatics, story drama, pantomime, and theater games. Emphasis is on improvisation, verbal expression, role playing, character development and movement.
YOUNG ACTOR’S WORKSHOP
Grades 7-12: THURSDAYS 4:15-5:15 p.m.
Students will explore advanced theater skills through a variety of activities including improvisation, advanced character development, movement for the stage and scene work.
SIENA TEEN A CAPPELLA
AKA “Trebled Youth”
Grades 7-12: THURSDAYS 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Cost is $85 per child, $115 for two or $145 for three or more for dramatics and young actors, $65 for Trebled Youth. Students have the opportunity to participate in a Siena Youth Theater mainstage production. Auditions are conducted in December. NOTE: Children must have paid registrations for Fall 2013 in order to audition for the winter stage production and for Winter 2014 to perform in the stage production.
