Dress to Impress event first in four-part series; scheduled for Oct. 26 in Rueckert Auditorium
The Siena Heights Career Center is presenting the first in a series of four Extreme Makeover events to help SHU students prepare for the business and professional world.
“Part 1: Dress to Impress,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in Rueckert Auditorium.
Students who attend this first session will learn how to dress appropriately for the corporate and professional world. The event is geared to students who are embarking on job internships, job interviews or student teaching assignments.
“This is a great opportunity for students to learn first-hand what is expected in the business and professional world, said Melissa A. Growden, Career Services director at Siena Heights. “We hope students will take advantage of the expert advice, and learn just how easy it can be to dress appropriately and professionally.”
There will be a panel of professionals present who will give their input and insight into dressing to impress in the professional world. The event should last about an hour and is free for all SHU students. There will be free giveaways at the end of the program.
This event is the first of a four-part series that will a program on Professional Presence (Nov. 14), Etiquette and Mocktail Reception (March 13, 2006) and a Mock Interview (April 17, 2007).
