SHU Youth Symphony Concert April 21

Orchestra Celebrating 20th Anniversary at SHU; Composed of Music Students Ages 11-22 from Four Counties in Michigan and Ohio

The Siena Heights University Youth Symphony, under the direction of conductor Linda Deatrick, will present its final concert of the 2007-08 season at 7 p.m. Monday, April 21, Francoeur Theatre on the SHU campus.

 

The orchestra is celebrating its 20th anniversary at SHU. Composed of music students from four counties in Michigan and Ohio from the ages of 11 to 22, the orchestra will perform an ambitious program including three movements from Gustav Holst “The Planets." The concert will also feature student cellist Andrew Munson in a performance of Faure’s “Elegie” for cello and orchestra. 

 

Admission is $5 for adults, with students admitted free.
