SHU Youth Symphony Opens Season Dec. 3

Community Orchestra Begins Its 19th Year

 

The Siena Heights University Youth Symphony will present its first concert of the 2007-08 season at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 in Francoeur Theatre on the SHU campus.

 

Linda Deatrick will conduct the orchestra, now in its 19th year at SHU. It is composed of music students from public and private middle and high schools in Lenawee, Hillsdale and Washtenaw counties in Michigan and Lucas County in Ohio. The orchestra will perform works by Sibelius, Rimsky- Korsakov, Gounod and Apocalyptica.

 

Tickets are $5 for general admission, however, members of the Siena community are admitted free. For more information, call 517-264-7897.
