Siena Heights University's Gemma Cowperthwaite earned the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Offensive Player of the week award.

A senior from Sterling Heights, Mich., Cowperthwaite had the winning goal in a 1-0 win against Indiana Institute of Technology to clinch the conference regular-season championship. The forward added an assist on the final goal during a 2-2 tie with Davenport. The Saints improved to 13-2-3 overall, 10-0-2 in WHAC play.

The WHAC tournament begins Saturday, Nov. 7.  Siena Heights is the #1 seed in the tournament and will host either Cornerstone or Madonna.  If Cornerstone ties or wins against Aquinas on Tuesday, then the Saints host Cornerstone.  If the Golden Eagles lose to Aquinas then the Saints will host conference rival Madonna.  Saturday's game will start at 1 pm.  General admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
