According to Student Senate's
constitution, the Siena Heights University Board of Trustees has granted
Student Senate "the legislative authority to pass resolutions and bills
regarding issues affecting student life."
Thus far, Student Senate has passed one
resolution. The exact text of the resolution follows:

Passed Unanimously on Sunday, October 7, 2007
Whereas, The Student Senate of Siena Heights
University feels that the students of the University are
negatively impacted by the limited hours of the library; and
Whereas, Many students get out of class around
9:00 pm on weeknights, leaving them with no opportunity to
use the library and its resources; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Student Senate of Siena Heights
University strongly recommends to the administration of the
University to find resources to allow the library to remain
open on Sundays through Thursdays until at least 11:00 pm. |
