Student Senate Advisors

Doris Hubbard
Doris has been an advisor for Student Senate since 2003.
She is the administrative assistant to the Dean for Students
and has been with SHU for 19 years. Doris received her
masters degree in organizational leadership in May, 2007.
She has also been an adjunct English instructor since 2001
and will teach her second year of FYE courses this fall.
Doris shares, “I can’t wait to begin a new year with Senate
and provide support as our students strive to accomplish
their goals.”

Jeff Kallenbach
Jeff is in his second year in the SHU Math
Department, having previously taught part time at several
colleges in the Chicago area. He received his PhD from
Northern Illinois University in 2006 after a 20-year career
as a Computer Scientist. He states, "I thoroughly enjoyed
my first year at SHU, and am looking forward to working with
the Senate this year."

Jeff Lindstrom
Now in his sixth year at Siena Heights, Jeff teaches in the
psychology program. He received his Ph.D. from Brigham Young
University in 1993. Professionally, he has held faculty
positions in several states before returning to his home
state of Michigan. In his spare time he enjoys cycling,
gardening, music, and reading. His golden retriever,
Sundance, is a regular visitor to campus. This is his first
year as a faculty advisor to Student Senate, but says he was
“honored” by the invitation and he envisions Senate
accomplishing “great things” for all Siena students.

Pete Ossmann
Pete is a 2003 graduate of Siena Heights University,
and currently works as the Assistant Director of Public
Safety and Campus Event Management at the university.
While a student at SHU, he served in the senate for three
years, two of which were as treasurer, and one as president.
In addition to serving in his second year as a Senate
advisor, Pete is pursuing a graduate degree in
organizational leadership.
