Computer and Information Systems

The Computer and Information Systems (CIS) department at Siena Heights University offers majors, minors and associate’s degrees in CIS. Our well-balanced and comprehensive curriculum enables you to assume responsible roles as systems analysts, software programmers, database administrators, network specialists, web developers and information systems managers.

The Capstone Experience – The CIS Department is unique in its close relationship between faculty members and students. From the introductory courses through the capstone senior project, our students are counseled and guided through the program individually. After completing most or all other CIS courses, students must first choose a senior project and then have it approved by their professor. This senior project requires students to apply the information they have learned throughout their CIS studies. Many seniors choose a project that has practical use beyond its academic requirements.
