Theatre Scholarships at Siena Heights University
The Theatre Department at Siena Heights University will conduct Theater Audition Days. Participation could earn you a theater scholarship at one of the best Midwest college theater programs.
High school seniors and transfer students who plan to major in Theater/Musical Theater can schedule a theater audition during their campus visit.
Your audition/interview should include some or all of the following:
- A high level of preparation
- The ability and confidence to speak well when speaking about works of theater
- Resume (list of works in which you have been involved)
- Head shot (optional)
- Exposure to theater outside of school, including additional lessons outside of school, and productions outside of school
- High GPA and ACT scores (recommended)
In addition to the above qualifications, here are some additional things to prepare:
Theater Audition
- 2 contrasting monologues: 60 seconds in length each
Theater/Musical Theater Audition
- Sing 32 bars of music (you pick the selection, SHU cannot guarantee accompaniment)
- Student should be able to sing acapella or with own accompaniment
- 1 monologue 60 seconds in length
