Operation: SERVE Boot Camp

Students are encouraged to attend the third annual Operation: SERVE (Students, Employment, Resources, Veterans, Education) job and resource fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Fieldhouse. Participants are encouraged to attend one of the free Boot Camp workshops offered prior to the job fair. The Boot Camps are scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 31. Both will be at the Croswell Opera House in downtown Adrian. Topics to be discussed include first impressions, basic interview skills, attire, following up after the job fair and resume content and critiques. A special “Veterans Reality Check” workshop will be offered from 10-11 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Croswell. Michael Poyma, a federal veterans employment representative, will lead the workshop. Besides displays and special giveaways for those attending on Nov. 8, there will also be a short program to honor those veterans who have served our country.
