Intended for educators with experience and/or interest in middle- or junior-high-school (5th-9th grade) teaching, this program leads to an M.A. (36 credits) and/or a Middle Level ZL endorsement (21 credits) that can be added to an existing Michigan teaching certificate with successful completion of the appropriate Michigan Test for Teacher Certification. Teacher certification is required for admission to this program. Individuals interested in earning initial teacher certification should consult our undergraduate Teacher Education program.
