Intended for certified and/or experienced educators with interest in increasing their skills in teaching students with learning disabilities, this 43-44 credit hour program leads to an M.A. and an additional endorsement in Learning Disabilities (SM) on an existing Michigan teacher certificate.

Siena Heights University’s special education program seeks to develop teacher leaders who can create exemplar educational programs and educational environments for K-12 students with learning disabilities.

Throughout the program, each candidate works in an interactive learning setting in the university classroom and in public and private schools, and is encouraged to apply theory and knowledge of the legal aspects of facilitating learning for K-12 students with learning disabilities.
