The Homeland Security and Emergency Management Leadership M.A. program has been developed in collaborative partnership with the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the prestigious Naval Postgraduate School and the SHU Homeland Security Advisory Council, a set of more than 20 professionals working in various homeland security and emergency management fields.

Siena Heights is one of approximately 300 NPS partner institutions nationwide – and the only one in Michigan – to offer such a master’s-level program, intended for individuals with three or more years of work experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or other fields related to homeland security and emergency management.

Those pursuing careers in governmental or civilian agencies – FBI, CIA, immigration and customs, even private security – are strong candidates for the Homeland Security and Emergency Management concentration.
